Bring two valid pieces of government-issued identification and make sure at least one is a photo ID. Fingerprint capture is completed during your appointment. Point Zero then follows the submission process required for the request. The receiving agency controls processing and delivery times, which vary by application type and whether additional review is required.

A name-based check uses personal information such as your name and date of birth. A fingerprint-based certified criminal record check uses fingerprints to confirm identity. The employer, licensing body or other requesting organization decides which type is required; confirm its instructions before booking.

A US entry-waiver application may be available in some circumstances, but the correct process and form depend on your immigration history. Point Zero can help with fingerprinting and document preparation support; approval is decided by the relevant US authority. Obtain legal advice for questions about eligibility.

We try to accommodate walk-ins, but booking an appointment is recommended to reserve a time and reduce waiting. Bring the requesting letter or instructions with you when applicable.

With the candidate's consent, employment verification can check information such as employer names, job titles and dates. Education verification can confirm credentials with the issuing institution. The information available depends on the source's policies and response.

Background screening should be relevant to the role, completed with informed consent and handled in accordance with applicable privacy, employment and human rights requirements. Many employers use a conditional offer before screening. Obtain legal advice when designing your hiring process.

Vulnerable sector checks must be initiated by the appropriate police service. However, if they require you to provide fingerprints as part of that check, we can officially capture and submit those digital fingerprints for you.

We highly recommend checking with your employer before the appointment. Because our services involve immediate processing and submission to official databases (like the RCMP), fees are non-refundable once the service has been performed.

Availability and delivery time depend on the type of background check, system availability and the organization that processes the request. Contact us with the exact requirement and deadline; we will explain the available service without promising an agency-controlled completion time.
